Yumi Adachi is starring in Keisuke Toyoshima’s latest movie Hanayoi Douchuu, marking her first starring film role since debuting as a child actress over 20 years ago. For the first time since the 1994 TV drama Ie Naki Koshe’ll play a prostitute character.

The film is based on a novel by Ayako Miyagi which won the 5th By Women For Women R-18 Literary Prize in 2006 and went on to become popular with female readers. It was later adapted to a manga which has reached a total circulation of over 300,000 copies.
